STATE LAND USE BOUNDARY AMENDMENT

The State Land Use District, established under Chapter 205, HRS, designates, together with the City and County of Honolulu General Plan and Development/Sustainable Communities Plans, guide population and land use growth over a 20+-year time.
|

The State Land Use Plans are administered by the State Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, Land Use Commission. Request to amend the State Land Use Boundary (SLUB) involving an area 15 acres or more is processed and approved by the State Land Use Commission. Request involving an area of less than 15 acres is processed by the Department of Planning and Permitting and approved by the City.
